With an even tone and intonation, they are tunable, with cork strips to ensure a good fit in any horn and are the choice of the Vienna Philharmonic, amongst others. Paxman picture micro-fibre polishing cloths
The Horn Stick is based on the PipStick, an invention by well-known horn player and teacher, Pip Eastop. The Horn Stick rests on the thigh, and is connected to the main tubing of the horn via a ball joint. The connection is a simple screw mechanism that allows the Horn Stick to be attached to all makes of horn. There is a height adjuster on the stick, and the mechanism can be easily removed for storage.
